Happy Sunday my lovelies!

A bit of easy night time reading for you.. the More about me TAG!

Ive seen quite a few tags lately and thought I would create my own for those of you who are new to my blog. This is an honest little Tag that answers the questions you may not know about me and my life!

And ofcourse, I TAG all of my lovely followers to do this too, so I can learn a bit more about you guys! Don’t forget to TAG me so I can see them too!

I have been with my boyfriend Jamie for almost 8 years… I know.. CRAZY right? He is my best friend and I love him more than anything.

I am an Optical Assistant at Specsavers and run this beautiful blog in my spare time

5’4. And I love it!

Weight?

Well.. this is a place for sharing so i’m just going to be honest. I weigh 9st 2 and im very happy with my current weight! I’m a size 10 and have size 5 feet!

Were practically besties now…

Eye Colour?

I have Green eyes.

Favourite Blog?

Ohhh this is such a tough one. I can’t say just one, but I do like Sabrina Babo and her blog A Little Obsessed.

Meaning behind my URL?

When I created my blog just over a year ago, it was a bit of a tough decision. Did I want to include my name or not? I chose not. My blog is mainly beauty based so I knew I wanted to include that in its name.. I was thinking about ‘beautygirl.com’ but it sounded too much like a superhero so I opted for http://www.beautyandshe.com. – I think it just fits.

Favourite Colour?

Im a big lover of the colour blue. My bedroom decor is a duck egg blue with cream accents, I think they go together so well.

Favourite Food?

Anything with Garlic. Guilty pleasure. I LOVE Italian food, especially when its super fresh.

Phobia?

Im not scared of insects, spiders, heights anything like that. But I am terrified of CLOWNS! Whose with me?

Favourite song currently?

I have been loving Justin Biebers latest tunes. They are so addictive!

Any Piercings?

I have 5 piercings in total. 2 lobe piercings on each ear and one cartilage piercing at the top of my ear.

Any Pets? 

I have a beautiful 1 year old Lurcher (bit like a greyhound) called Honey. She is so cheeky and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll get to see her for yourself!

Favourite Book?

Have you ever read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern? You need to! Its so addictive, I have never read a book where I have been able to imagine every single little detail so perfectly.

Favourite Film?

The Harry Potter films are so great. They are so magical and I get so excited when I watch them!

Favourite Makeup brand?

Saved the best question (and the most tough) until last. Makeup Revolution has always been a contender, Benefit is also incredible but my NEW love is Kiko Milano.

The weird questions tag

Good evening gorgeous people,

I was tagged by the beautiful BambiLeigh, make sure you check out her gorgeous blog– it is stunning.

So grab a cup of tea, a couple of biscuits and your fave blanket….

Let’s get started..

1. Do you have a nickname that only your family use?

Everyone in my family calls me Charl, it’s a lot easier than Charlotte. My mother only uses my full name when I’m in trouble, eeeeeeek! Other than that, my boyfriend Jamie calls babe (I know it’s cringey but we love it).

2. What’s a weird habit of yours?

I have a super bad habit of clicking my neck and back! I know it’s bad but it feels so much better when it’s done! I also have an obsession with collecting candles…. If that counts!

3. Do you have any weird phobias?

I’m a bit funny about flying over water. I’m fine over land, it’s just when we’re across the sea!

4. What song do you secretly love to blast out when your alone?

Oooooooh tough one… I love the classics but my favourite is probably Sweet Child Of Mine by guns and roses! 

Those high notes!

5. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?

When people are just plain rude. My motto is a smile doesn’t cost anything… 

6. What’s one of your nervous habits?

I always run my hands through my hair when I’m nervous…or I babble on about random things!

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?

I always sleep closest to the wall, I really don’t know why? It’s the same at my boyfriends house!

8. What was your first stuffed animal and it’s name?

It was a lovely white rabbit called Bunna. I couldn’t say bunny so Bunna just had to do! I also had a beautiful doll called Peggy.

9. What’s the drink you always order at Starbucks Costa?

Chai tea latte. Boom.

10. What’s a beauty rule you preach but never actually practice?

Prime before foundation. In the morning when I’m getting ready for work I never remember to do it- I just go straight to my foundation!

11. Which way do you face in the shower?

Haha ummm I usually face every direction, spinning around in a circle at some point!

12. Do you have any ‘weird’ body skills?

I can click my toes quite loudly! 

I can also do the splits! I love yoga so that keeps me nice and flexible.

13. What’s your favourite ‘bad’ comfort food that you eat anyway?

Chocolate brownies with ice cream. All day, everyday. It’s my guilty pleasure…. Along with a bucket of skinny fries with mayo!

14. Whats a phrase or exclamation that you always say?

I always say awwwwwww bless you or literally…..

15. It’s time to sleep – what are you ACTUALLY wearing?

There is nothing like wearing your boyfriends t shirt to bed. Why are they so comfortable? Other than that, I love to wear a baggy t shirt and shorts…. With fluffy socks.

The Boyfriend Tag

 Happy Sunday everyone!

I have been loving tag posts lately and I thought what better post to do than ‘The Boyfriend Tag’!

I’ve mentioned my boyfriend Jamie before in a couple of posts, but now you guys can see how well he knows me – you would think after six years he would be able to answer every question easily!.. Think again….

1. She’s sitting in front of the tv what is on the screen?

Come dine with me! Or any programme with food.

He was half right with this question, I do love food programmes but he forgot to mention Keeping up with the Kardashians!

2. You’re out to eat, what kind of dressing does she get on her salad?

Mary berry dressing, or that one, what’s it called? Caesar? Or ranch?

Correct. This was a weird question! I don’t usually go for salads when I’m at a restaurant but at home, I would have those dressings!

3. Whats one food she doesn’t like?

Ummmmmmm, ummmmmm, ummmmmm, I can’t think, you like everything….ummmmmm, oh god I don’t know? 

How can he not know! I absolutely hate peanuts and anchovies, the thought of them just makes me heave!

4. You go out to eat and have a drink what does she order?

Easy. White wine.

Of course! I’m a sucker for a glass of cold white wine – heaven!

5. What size shoe does she wear?

A five? That’s right, right?

Ding ding, correct. I do have size five feet!

6. If she was collecting anything what would it be?

Little heart shaped dangly things and candles.

He knows me too well. I’m addicted to buying candles and and accessories for the home! – I can’t help myself!

7. What is her favorite type of sandwich?

Ham and cheese?

Ummmm how boring! I do have them often but my ultimate favourite is a tuna salad sandwich with mayonnaise!

8. What would this person eat everyday if she could?

Nicely made salad with nice croutons and nice tomatoes?

Sounds… Nice! I could eat salad all day everyday! But ice cream is my weakness!

9. What is her favorite cereal?

You don’t really rave about cereal do you? Something bland like Special K?

I don’t eat too much cereal, Special K is something I do tend to have because it’s quick and easy. I do like to add banana to it as well!

10. Whats her favorite music?

Pop and anything on YouTube you watch….. Like acoustic versions of old songs and….. Yeah, stuff!

True! I love acoustic covers of old and modern songs! I usually find them on YouTube and jump from video to video!

11. Whats her favorite sports team?

Let me think….Cardiff Blues and the Welsh Rugby team.

How can I not? We both love rugby and support our local and home team!

12. Whats her eye color?

Green. Like seaweed.

Seaweed!! What.

13. Who’s her best friend?

Your sister Jess? Or does that not count? In that case me.

Spot on! Jamie is my best friend which is why we get on so well, I couldn’t imagine life without him. 

14. What is something you do that she wishes you wouldn’t?

Play my Xbox so much, it’s guy time, be jealous…..

Who’s with me girls? Xbox is his obsession! I cannot get a would in edge ways when the Xbox is involved.

15. Where was she born?

In llandough hospital, Cardiff. Boring question! 

Boring but true!

16. You bake her a cake for her birthday what kind of cake is it?

*silence*….. I would just make you a chocolate cake, Or a red velvet yum! With sprinkles…..

Who doesn’t love chocolate cake? Sounds delicious. I expect one for my birthday.

17. Does/did she play any sports ?

Hockey and rugby. Man sports.

Correct! I did do dance as well for a year but I honestly preferred hockey and rugby!

18. What could she spend hours doing?

Watching makeup videos and tanning and blogging and shopping… Always shopping. Oh and sitting in a hot bath, you would end up like a wrinkled prune..

All true. I’m guilty on all counts of those. But hey, he spends hours on Xbox so…….

19. What is one unique talent she has?

Your really good at being organised and working things out, order and structure to bits and pieces… Is that a talent? Oh! You can juggle! 

Not sure if being organised is a talent but I do like to be organised…and yes it is true, I can juggle!

Well, he did pretty well, a few mistakes but I can forgive him.

The ‘What’s in my bag’ Tag

 Every girl knows how important the handbag is.

I mean, what would you do if you were caught in a gust of wind, ending up looking like scarecrow AND didn’t have your bag with your hairbrush in?

And what would happen if you were unfortunate enough to get pooed on by a seagull and DIDNT have any tissues or scrummy smelling hand sanitizer?

Exactly.

I take my bag with me everyday to work and love my essentials that I keep with me. My current bag is a faux (Posh for knock off) Prada. I bought it in Corfu for about €20 and I absolutely love it! It has one large main pocket and two smaller pockets perfect for keeping all my essentials in order!

Sunglasses

As we all know it is Spring! So for those days where the sun is shining and I need that bit of UV protection, I’ll pop on my shades and pretend I’m a celeb…. Just kidding.

 

Tissues and hand sanitizer

For those days where something just goes wrong or if you have a cold, tissues are super handy and I guarantee, you friends and family will ask for one! I chose this gorgeous bath and Bodyworks hand sanitizer in copacabana, it smells like coconuts and screams summer whilst leaving your hands bacteria free!

  

Emergencies 

 Who’s with me girls? 

Periods are annoying but keeping a toilet bag of emergency supplies is sure to leave you worry and stress free! 

  

Perfume

I love spritzing on some perfume throughout the day. This one by The Body Shop is light and delicate and ideal for everyday use and that surprise evening date too!

  

Hairspray

Unless your going for boho chic then hairspray is your best friend for those fly away strands. This hairspray by wella keeps my hair in place all day and brushes out easily for changes in style!

  

Cream

I’ve always used sudocrem ever since I was a baby. This little tube is so handy for my skin, especially when it’s dry or when I quickly need to apply it to a stubborn pimple or irritated skin like eczema.

  

Spare Makeup

I always keep this anti shine foundation stick by Maybelline in my bag when I need a quick touch up. It’s super handy at the end of the day when my makeup has gone a bit patchy!

  

Lip balm

My EOS is my life saver for chapped lips. It smells great and is quick to apply!

  

Purse and phone

Every bag needs a purse and phone. I also keep a small mirror in my purse which is amazing!  My purse is from Ollie&Nic and I have the iphone 4 which i love! (especially for taking pictures)

The ME-Time Tag

Good Morning my beauties!
Today is such a beautiful day. The sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky. What a gorgeous day to have off work!
I said to myself this morning that I was going to spend the day in the garden blogging and reading all of your amazing posts – HEAVEN.

Since I have the day to myself, what better post to start the day than the ME-Time Tag.
I am going to jump straight in to it so grab a cup of tea and biscuit or two, and enjoy my first post of the day…
1. What do you like to watch or read during Me-time?

I particularly enjoy going to my local shop and buying stacks of the latest magazine to curl up in bed and read with some tea. I absolutely love LOOK and NOW magazine. They have the latest fashion tips, styles and of course celebrity gossip! For books, I have recently finished The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and I can honestly say it is one of the most magical books I have ever read, I can imagine all of the scenes perfectly – Its amazing!

2. What do you wear during me-time?

I love wearing anything comfortable and loose. Leggings are my fave with a baggy T-shirt and fluffy slippers. I always tie my hair in a loose bun and take all my makeup off so im feeling fresh and relaxed!
 3. What are your favourite me-time beauty products?

Any LUSH face mask! I could sit for hours and hours with one on, my skin is always left feeling soft and hydrated! I love to paint my nails and moisturise using my Norwegian Formula Moisturiser, it leaves me feeling silky and smooth and smells great!
4. Current favourite nail polish?
Hmmmmmm….. tough one. Ive been wearing the Sally Hansen polish in shade Shore Enough. Its a beautiful nude colour that looks so elegant and simple. I can wear it to work and looks amazing with any outfit!
 5. What do you eat or drink during me-time?
Tea. Tea. Tea.
A simple cup of tea is so relaxing and calming for the mind. Hot chocolates in the winter are a must and Ice cold water in the summer. I love a good box of chocolates or snacking on vegetable crisps!
6. Current favourite candle?
Any Yankee candle will do. There scents are incredible. My personal fave is the mandarin and cranberry jar, it just smells like summer. I have also love the vanilla cupcake scent which fills my room with a sweet and gorgeous cake smell! – good enough to eat!
 7. Do you ever have outdoor me-time?

I try to take a 30-min walk outside everyday. I love heading to the beach with my dog or just going for a long walk in the fields by my house. Now that its getting warmer I want to try and do some yoga in the sun. How amazing and relaxing would that be right?

8. Would you ever go and watch a film alone?
I rarely go to the cinema but when I do, its usually with a group of people or my boyfriend Jamie. I cant imagie sitting alone with a bag of popcorn, I would feel awkward if someone else alone came and sat next to me!
9. Favourite online shop?

Missguided! It has such an amazing range of fashion items and I love how they have an inspiration section where you can look at all the current styles and trends like Holidays, Beauty school drop out and Once upon a dream.
10. Anything to add? What else do you do during me-time?
Meditation and mindfulness is something I practice. It really makes me aware of my thoughts and surrounding whilst instantly calms the mind and brings everything into focus!

The Beauty Blogger Tag

Ok here we go…lets do a tag ready for the weekend.
I tag you all! Ready.. steady… go!
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
It’s naturally wavy and voluminous!
2. What is your natural hair colour?
My natural hair colour is dark blonde.
3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I dye it myself, I love Nice n Easy, especially the foam dyes.
4. How often do you wash your hair?
I wash my hair about 3 times a week, otherwise it gets too dry.
5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
I usually leave it natural or I straighten it. It completely changes the shape of my face!
6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do my own so I can design and create my own styles and designs.
7. How often to you change your nail polish?
I dont wear it alll the time but love to change it according to my going out looks.
8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?
I do, but I change the color more often in the summer.
9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?
I can do my makeup in 5 minutes when Im in a rush, but I usually take about 20 minutes for an everday look!
10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I always do my face first, im not sure why, it just makes sense!
11. Do you “collect” makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Im a hoarder!… Not really. I have a nice collection and buy more when im interested in new products!
12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
I wear them every so often only when I go out to parties or clubbing and on special occasions.
13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
Yes I do, Its become a natural thing for me to do!
14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?
Not all the time, I love having a clean face, It feels so relieving.
15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes I would but I try not to!
16. How many high end products do you have?
I dont have too many.. does Benefit, Urban Decay and MAC class as high end? Because I have alot!
17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
Every two weeks.
18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?
I wait till morning as it depends on the ever changing weather and mood I am in.
19. How often do you change your handbag?
I have my main handbag for everyday use and a small one for little things.
20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?
I usually get up around 7:00 am and sleep around 11:00 pm
21. How often & when do you workout?
I do quite a bit of yoga, its great for releasing tension and stress.
22. Left-handed or Right-handed?
Right-handed.
23. How tall are you?
5’4″
24. Do you speak a foreign language?
I tried that once… It was a complete fail. My poor Spanish teacher.
25. How many pets do you have?
I have a 9 month old puppy lurcher called Honey.
26. How often are you on Blogger?
Everyday!
27. Do you read the comments posted in blogs?
Ofcourse!!
28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I do, I have a notebook full of ideas!
29. How did you come up with your blog name?
I knew I wanted a beauty blog called beautyandme but it was unavailable, so Beautyandshe had to do!
30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?
I use a Canon Powershot A810 HD
31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)
Every other day..  im a clean freak!
32. What is your favourite colour?
Blue is such a calming colour, and there are so many different varieties.
33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?
LOOK
34. Do you swear?
No, I dont see the point in it, I find it rude and unnecessary
35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Looking at all of your blogs and spending time with my sister!

Good Afternoon Beauty-ful people!

I decided to do the ‘Would you rather Tag‘ for you all! Now instead of tagging individual bloggers, I would like to tag ALL of you beauty-ful people to do this too!

So …. Lets begin..

Questions

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

Messy Hair and Nice Makeup. I would try and get away with the wind-swept look!

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

Oh my goodness! I think I would rather shave my eyebrows because I could just draw them on with my favourite brow products!!

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

MAC all day, everyday.

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80’s perm?

Lipgloss/liner look definitely. I think if I had a perm, my head would be the size of an large exercise ball. 

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

eeeeeek! worst nightmare! I would choose an obvious foundation line as I could easily blend it into my neck with my fingers!!

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

I would say MC hammer pants, they look extremely comfortable……

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can’t be covered?

Weird tan lines that cant be covered… because I could at least try and cover them with another self tan!

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

Bad hair colour definitely. I love my hair and to have a bad cut would probably make me cry… 

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?

Probably twitter because I dont really use it. Ive never gotten into the swing of it!

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

I would rather give up mascara! I prefer a flawless looking face!
