MUA Metallic Liquid Lipstick SWATCHES

Ok, so im a little obsessed with liquid lipsticks..

and when I saw METALLIC versions from MUA – I just had to buy them.

I’ve really been loving matte liquid lipsticks lately and how the look and last throughout the day (I always find they make my lips appear more full).

Metallic shades are great for all year round but I thought particularly in winter, I will be glistening like snow…

I purchased three different shades from the brand MUA, which is one of my all time favourite budget beauty brands. The quality of the products is incredible and the prices are even better.

These lipsticks were all £2 each making them such a bargain I couldn’t resist. I am loving the packaging designs of the products to really reflect the metallic and sleek vibes.

The first shade is called ‘Luster‘ and its this beautiful shimmery gold/beige. As you can see, its highly pigmented and very rich. It has a really creamy texture which was surprising as I thought it was going to be quite drying.

I feel like a snow queen or some form of mythical being wearing this. It is super reflective but surprisingly wearable. Its still a buildable product and you can make it more and more rich in depth as you go.

The second shade is called ‘Glint‘. This shade is a shimmery brown/gold with hints of silver. With this colour a little really does go a long way.

Im not too keen on this shade. It was a bit difficult to blend and get and even coat. Im not usually one for dark grey/brown lip shades but I do like the colour! Im sure with a few more layers I could even thing out.

The last shade is called ‘Blaze‘. This is absolutely ideal for winter with its rich berry colour. As you can see, its not complete pigment coverage which is nice as again, its blendable.

I really do LOVE this colour, its such a warm tone that goes well with my skin shade. This colour had a lot and I mean A LOT of glitter.. which isnt a bad thing..

Who doesn’t like glitter?

Im defo learning to love metallic after these bad boys.

How to get bigger looking LIPS (the easy way)

Have you ever wanted a fuller looking lip without going to extreme measures?

Me too!

That’s why I have found a fool proof way of getting that beautiful fuller pout – the EASY way.

So if you want to see how I get the KYLIE JENNER style lip, then just look no further…

Lets get started…

So I always start off with lining my lips, today I used a dark nude liner from my ultimate favourite store, Kiko Milano, then applied a lighter nude cream lip shade over the top.

The colour is super pretty and delicate. By lining the lips with a darker shade it adds a lot more depth and definition to the lip whilst the lighter shade brings the lips forward giving that 3d fuller effect.

The final step is investing in a good 3d lip plumping gloss. Mine is again from Kiko Milano and is absolutely unbelievable. I got matching nude/beige shade and the colour combination is beautiful.

When you apply the gloss, it does have a tingly feeling but the consistency is not sticky or heavy at all. Its very hydrating and gives the most incredible shine. After about 10 minutes of wear I really did feel like my lips were slightly more ‘plump‘! The shine creates a highlight that brings the lips forward creating the bigger lip look as I mentioned earlier.

Its super easy to create and more importantly super affordable. Below are all the links to the products used:

Lip Liner – £2.50

Cream Lipstick – £2.30

Lip Gloss – £6.90

That is it guys.

Top Three Lip Colours for SPRING!

It’s March!

Its basically Spring time and I’m so excited for all things colourful… And Easter eggs ofcourse.

Lately I have been loving wearing a simple and elegant makeup look with a bold colourful lip. It really does make you feel happier when you add a POP of colour.

So today I’m going to share my THREE favourite lip colours for March.

Number One

This little beauty is from Kiko Milano, can we just appreciate the colour on this case… Its stunning! I find the quality of Kiko Milano incredible, it is so affordable and their range is HUGE!

So the shade looks super bright, but when applied it is so natural and subtle, it’s the type of colour to go with everything and looks good on ALL skin shades.

Number Two

Who doesn’t love hot pink?

This Ted Baker Lip gloss has to be the most pigmented lip product I own. A little bit goes a long way, but once applied looks flawless.

I wear this shade with a very simple makeup look to add a splash of brightness to my everyday style. Again, this colour will look great with a lot of skin shades.

Number Three

Another Ted Baker. Yay!

This has to be my favourite out of the three. Rose gold, white and pink…..

A heavenly colour combination.

The shade is so pretty, it’s a very light pink/ nude and I literally wear it every single day. The consistency is so creamy and lasts all day.

And that is it guys. Those are my TOP THREE lip colours for this Spring.

Have you got some favourite shades? I would love to try some more!

My Ombré Lips

One word.

Oh my goodness, I have been utterly obsessed with ombré lips for quite a while now and I am so in love with them.

You can create so many beautiful colour combinations that make your lips look more full, plump and 3D.

I found most of my inspiration on Pinterest and YouTube and added my own personal twist.

Want to see?

This pretty in pink lip is so delicate! I started by outlining my lips with a pink/ nude liner and filled in the outer corners with the same colour. Then using a light dusky pink lipstick I applied this to the centre of my lips keeping the colour to the middle.

After a few minutes of some good old fashioned lip smacking, you should have a perfectly blended and flawless ombré.

I used exactly the same technique for this tropical paradise look. I applied the hot pink liner first then a bright orange lipstick.

This look really reminds me of ice lollys! Perfect for summer evenings!

Bring back the 90’s!

Beige and brown. Yum. This look is nice and natural and brings back the nineties grunge era. I love the how the colours blend effortlessly together  and look heavenly!

Rock n roll.

Black and red go so well together. This is a glamorous look that would look great for night out paired with a little black dress and a stunning clutch.

If you want to soften this look, change the black to a deep red.
And that, my lovelies is it! I hope you all get some inspiration from this little post!

 Which one is your favourite?

Fifty shades of…… lip liner? Primark edition // BeautyandShe

Okay okay… So maybe fifty shades of lip liner was slightly exaggerated.

Good afternoon my beauties!

I don’t know about you but I love a good lip liner.

So I was in the most heavenly place on earth… Primark

And I decided to pick up a couple of their amazing lip liners. I know autumn is on its way so I wanted a few colours that I could match to the upcoming fall season.

If you haven’t seen Primark’s lip liners, you are missing out on a real bargain! I picked up three for £3 (£1 each) – Incredible!

Brownies honour…. They are some of the best lip liners I have ever used. The consistency is super rich and creamy and just glides onto the skin. As for wearing time, I do have to reapply every couple of hours but Hey…

Im happy with that!

So here are the three shades that I picked up:

This first shade is a gorgeous neutral colour that is perfect for everyday. It has undertones of brown and pink giving it the lovely autumnal feel.

Im pretty sure I’ve seen Kylie Jenner in a shade just like this. It’s a beautiful deep mauve/ purple that I am completely in love with!

It’s also really matte so it can easily have some deep maroon gloss over the top for some shimmer and shine.

Is it too soon to start thinking of Winter OOTD’s with this colour?

Im a barbie girl?

I picked this shade up out of curiosity as I have nothing like this in my collection! It is super bright and pigmented but not too over the top!

Is it okay to say….. I love it!!!

It just adds that pop of colour to a simple outfit which is perfect!

So dolls, which one is your favourite? I can’t choose!

Review: Lypsyl lip balms // BeautyandShe

Sorry it’s been so long my lovelies

I have been super duper busy over the past week with work and camping…. I haven’t had a lot of ME-time.

But I’m back!

And today I’m really excited to bring you this lovely review of some amazing products that I was sent by the company Lypsyl!

So for those of you who don’t know, Lypsyl has been making ultra moisturising balm since 1891! – crazy right!

So as I mentioned earlier, I went camping earlier this week for a few days and this balm was my saviour.

If your like me and get sunburn within five minutes, then this balm is for you! It has an SPF in it so it’s perfect for those hot sunny days. I applied it as soon as I woke up and wore it throughout the day to keep my lips hydrated, silky soft and protected from the sun.

I was sent three different balms to try:

Cherry blossom

Strawberry polka dot

The original

Strawberry polka dot is a lovely delicate little number and adds a light hint of pink to my lips…

Did I mention it tastes A-mazing! (Note to self: don’t eat lip balm)

Cherry Blossom  just reminds me of late summer. I love the subtle darker red colour that applies, perfect for this upcoming autumn/ fall months.

And who doesn’t like cherries?

The Original Aloe Vera

Oh lord. This is my absolute fave.

Firstly, the taste, smell and texture of this balm is incredible.

It is so soft and just glides on to the skin. My lips instantly feels 100% moisturised with no chaps.

So my fellow beauties! I highly recommend these lovely little balms that are easy to fit in your pocket or handbag with your other daily essentials!

This is definitely one of mine!

If you guys want to check out the range yourselves, you can find them at :

Also if you dolls want to grab a few yourself, you can pick them up in your local supermarkets and pharmacies.
And that about wraps things up!

The perfect red lip

So whats the secret?….

Let me show you…

Begin by using your favourite red lip liner, believe it or not, mine is from Primark!

Line your lips making sure you create a crisp edge. I like to accentuate my upper lip slightly to create a more pointed and femnine look.

As you can see, the look already looks pretty flawless. My top tip is to leave your liner to sit for about 2 minutes before applying your lipstick… Trust me, it makes applying the next step alot easier.

Apply your lipstick/ lacquer over the top, keeping to liner. Im using a matte lip lacquer from MUA.

This lip lacquer is honestly the best thing ever. The colour is super rich and pigmented and does not budge or smudge… And for £3, you cannot go wrong.

And that is it my beauties, easy as that.

What do you guys think of the red lip look?

What are your fave products?
