Today I have worked wonders..

I’ve been to the gym, cleaned the kitchen, living room and bathroom, sorted out 2 HUGE piles of donations for the charity shop and prepped tonight’s dinner.

So I have just this second sat down with a cup of tea.

I have been loving Instagram at the moment and I have loved looking at all sorts of inspiration for the New Year.

I thought I would share a few of my latest Instagram posts for you to see what I have been up to lately.

My latest IG post included this absolutely gorgeous lip topper from Makeup Revolution in the shade “Luxurious”. It is the prettiest shimmery gold colour and just glides on to the lips. It is not sticky at all and doesn’t make my lipstick underneath slide everywhere. It comes in a few different shades but this one was my favourite. I picked mine up from Superdrug and the best part is that it was only £2. It is supposed to be a dupe for the Fenty Diamond lipgloss, so if it saves me money too, even better.

This was my OOTD for a girly day shopping last Sunday. This duck egg blue coat was from M&S a few years ago. It is so thick and warm and looks super classy. I paired it with a white knit jumper, jeans and chelsea boots.

I had so much fun creating this photo. This was taken at one of my new fave coffee places in Cardiff – Big Moose Coffee Co. They have these giant angel wings painted on the wall outside and ofcourse I had to take a picture by it. Reckon I could be a Victoria’s Secret Angel then?

If you haven’t tried their coffee and brunch then I highly recommend popping in for a visit. If you read my previous post about resolutions, this was on my list to visit. The company does so much charity work which is incredible and it supports the local community. Food wise, I had the banana, coconut and pecan french toast – possibly the best french toast I have eaten.

So me and my husband had our date night recently and we paid a visit to another one of our favourite bars in Cardiff – Head of Steam. We love the vibe in here, its so relaxed and welcoming and they have great decor. As you can see, one of the best drinks they do is a “Steamy Martini” which comes with a shot of prosecco. My kind of drink.

I posted a review previously of this place as we were kindly invited to attend their opening event. It definitely left a good impression with us – we will be returning frequently I think..

This was my bargain of the year (I know its only January)

So I was wandering around Superdrug minding my own business when something caught my eye. I saw a huge collection of random makeup all priced at £2. I couldn’t believe my eyes that all of this makeup from The Balm was reduced so heavily! I couldn’t resist. Usually the Balm Shelter tinted moisturiser retails at about £10 alone – and I got it for two quid.

New Years Resolutions | Beautyandshe

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope there are not too many sore heads this morning!

I started the night with a G&T and finished with a cuppa. I was in bed by 11:30 so i’m feeling very refreshed and ready for a productive start to the year.

I’ve been thinking about resolutions for a while, I much prefer ‘goals’ than the term ‘resolutions’ – I think it just sounds nicer?

There are so many little goals I have already made for this new year and I cannot wait to share them with you lovely lot.

If you have any resolutions or goals I would love to know, so let me know in the comments.

1.Take more care of myself and managing my time better.

This one is so important in many ways! I’m the type of person to put other people before myself which is great but sometimes I really do forget to look after number one. Particularly recently I have been so busy with work, wedding plans etc, I wasn’t looking after my body. My skin has been extremely dry and I just haven’t been treating it (until now).

I also got into a routine of getting in from work, doing housework, making dinner, having a shower, going to bed and REPEATING that vicious cycle over and over. It really does just drain you.

So my plan to manage my time better and think about myself is in full swing today – I have made a list in my new planner of all the thing I want to do today – so far so good.

2. Explore more local businesses

This goal I have kind of been getting in to recently. Me and my husband have both agreed to try new places, whether it be for coffee, for dinner or shopping – the world is meant to be explored and that’s just what we will do.

Here are just a few local businesses in Cardiff I want to pay a visit to:

3. Buy good quality, rather than quantity

Now I know you all love my Primark hauls, this doesn’t mean I won’t be shopping there ever again but maybe make wiser choices on what I buy.

As I have gotten older I have realised how much I appreciate the quality of certain items such as clothing. They last longer, they look better and I appreciate them a lot more!

I have already started sorting through my clothes; making a pile for the charity shop – I feel instantly better just for even beginning the clear out!

4. Read more books

This has always been one I have struggled with. I am social media crazy and it’s part of my life so I have found it hard to put down my phone and pick up a book.

Don’t get me wrong I do read, but I never commit to finishing an entire book.

My sister has bought me a book from Blind date with a book (if you haven’t heard of them before, please check them out) and I am going to start it tonight, in bed with a cup of tea.

5. Continuing the growth of my blog/ social media

I would never of expected my blog to have grown as it has. I absolutely adore this space, writing my thoughts, reading about other people and their passions – It is truly an amazing thing.

Not too many members of the older generations realise how effective and brilliant social media is. It is such an amazing tool that has lead me to work alongside some amazing brands and people. I have made new friends and had some fantastic experiences.

This is not just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle and I absolutely love it.

Makeup Revolution RELOADED Palette review + SWATCHES | C.WBeauty

I you know me, you know I love a BARGAIN.

I also love finding dupes for high end brands at affordable prices.

Makeup Revolution has been one of my favourite brands for a very long time and I adore its range of products at such good prices. The quality is fantastic and they are constantly bringing out new designs which I think makes them such a competitor in the makeup industry right now!

If you haven’t seen by now, they have recently brought out some new palettes which all look INCREDIBLE but with one in particular looking very similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette…..

As soon as I saw this I was out that door on my way to my local Superdrug on the hunt for this little gem.

The palette contains 15 shades of reds, pinks and neutral colours ranging from mattes to shimmers, making it the perfect palette for this Valentines Month.

As you guys can tell the shade range is extremely similar with the added black shade in the Makeup revolution palette.

Of Course the other main difference is the price…. at £4 rather than £43 this palette is a steal.

I have been testing it out for a few weeks and I absolutely LOVE it, the colours are very rich and pigmented and blend flawlessly together.

I will definitely be creating some makeup tutorials using this very soon so stay tuned for that and let me know in the comments below if you have tried out the new RELOADED palettes – I would love to know your thoughts!

It is February and freezing, so i’m sat in my pyjamas – slippers on – cup of tea in hand – fire crackling – i’m happy.

I don’t know about you guys but Instagram is my favourite social media platform – I can literally spend forever scrolling through pictures of home decor, makeup and food and before you know it it’s been an hour…. or two..

Just Kidding… but not really.

So for those who may not have the joys of Instagram or haven’t hit that follow button yet, here are some of my latest posts of what i’ve been up to from now and through January.

So this was at 8:30 am at Penarth Pier. I was on my way to work and it looked so beautiful, the sunrise made everything look so pretty. Im lucky to live near the sea and the countryside so i’m always snapping the world’s natural beauty.

On this evening, I spent 3 lovely hours catching up with blog posts, comments and social media. As well as have a cheeky glass of wine or two. I tell you what, this arm chair from ikea is so comfortable and is so cosy to cuddle up on.

This Milani blush is the perfect colour for me. As I am naturally paler toned, this adds just the right amount of warmth to my skin. Alongside my Ted Baker lipstick this peachy pair is perfect for me.

Does this need a caption? I love bubbles! This was probably the most bubbly bath I have ever had.

I was super excited to get my hands on the Sweet Peach palette. The colours are so pigmented and they smell gorgeous. If you want to check out my swatch video and blog post then click HERE.

For those who are not familiar with Hygge, then I strongly recommend reading this lovely little book. Hygge basically means enjoying the little things in life like candles, cosy cushions, a cup of tea or in my case a hot bath with a glass of wine…

A table for two. This dinner set caught my eye and was a real bargain. It was from Asda and was only £14 for a 16 piece set. My flowers are also from Asda and I got them for £5 – another bargain. Not to mention my rose gold wine glasses from one of my best friends – Heaven.

Shadeliers are IN at the moment. Not quite lamp shade not quite chandelier, these pretty things are from Next and add such an elegant feel to the house. I’ve got a matching one in the living room too..

These are actually the pjs i’m wearing right now. They are from Boux Avenue and are so cosy and warm for these winter months. Plus i’ve got grey nails in this photo and I was pleasantly surprised how nice they looked.

Im so in love with this shirt from Primark. When I saw it on the mannequin I knew I just had to buy it. It has this cute bow tie on the front and looks great with jeans and heels. #Stripesforlife

Anything marble, im there. This notebook was £3 from Primark and is great to keep in my handbag for those essential notes.

Ive been doing a lot of DIY projects lately and this rose bouquet is one of them. I used a candle holder as the vase and arranged the flowers inside. We also had some slate tiles left over so I made a decorative plate for the table. – Quite proud of myself.

Ive been after this Too Faced foundation for such a long time, and after hearing such good reviews, I couldn’t wait to try it myself. The formula is so creamy and dries instantly on the skin. It says medium to full coverage but you can definitely build it up on the skin.

I visited my local flower craft shop to browse silk flowers and was overwhelmed with how many there were. Im making my wedding centrepieces myself so getting inspo from here was perfect.

So this stunning building is where im going to get married. We have set a date of 9th September 2018 and we viewed the building a few weeks ago. It has 8-10 chandeliers hanging from the ceiling with carved wooden walls. It was truly breathtaking and we fell in love with the place as soon as we walked in.

Last night I wasn’t feeling 100% – full up with a cold. So what better way to spend the evening than with candles galore. It was so relaxing and I felt so much better after letting my body rest and recover.

So its Christmas Eve – Eve and i’m so excited for the next few days. I have been super busy getting everything wrapped and prepped, it’s been a whirlwind of Christmas fun!

It was my works Christmas party which was a pretty casual affair – I chose this oversized shirt, jeans and boots which I was comfortable in ALL night. My watch is from NEXT and makes a great statement accessory.

Comfy clothes are the best right? This cropped hoody is from Primark and I just knew I needed it as soon as I saw it. My slippers are from Dunelm and it literally feels like im walking on clouds – LOVE IT!

I have seen Zoella create this Mariah Carey inspired look and HAD to recreate it myself. Believe it or not, I LOVED IT! I thought I was going to end up looking like a toilet brush but the curls were beautiful, by the end of the day they had dropped to a lovely loose curl.

Instagram Catch Up

Happy Monday everyone!

It’s about time that I did another Instagram post for you guys to catch up with all of my latest adventures.

So as you can imagine, I have been super busy lately but I absolutely love snapping pics when I can.

So this is my first bridal magazine that one of my best friends bought me. Even before I was engaged, I have always loved looking at another to do with weddings and it was a pure joy to read it with a cup of tea snuggled in bed. It has some amazing tips and ideas and everything looks so pretty….

So I’m having holiday blues already. This bikini is from primark and I absolutely love it. It’s a gorgeous coral pink and these are so in fashion right now. Plus it matched my nails…

Aren’t these flowers stunning? I was sitting in the garden in the sun and couldn’t resist snapping my freshly painted nails with these beauties. I use the Barry M coconut infused polish in the shade skinny dip.

Ahhhh bliss. This was my favourite spot in Rhodes. The boardwalk ran from our hotel right to the sea. The beach was very pebbly with lots of little shells but the water was warm and crystal clear. Take me back…

You’ve all seen this one. My beautiful engagement ring. It still hasn’t sunk in yet but every time I look at my ring, I just think how lucky I am to have such an incredible fiancé who I’m going to spend the rest of my life with…

EASY EDITS

If you guys are interested, I usually edit my pictures using an app called “Line Camera“. Its really easy to do and I dont like to spend to long editing a quick pic… I start by either rotating, flipping or cropping my images then move on to the fun stuff. I start by playing with the brightness and saturation and get it just how I like it.

I also love a good filter…

I love the filter ‘Fairytale‘ as it makes all of my colours so pretty and enhanced.

I bought this in TK Maxx, it was only £3 but I thought it was so nice to write down blog ideas and inspirations. I love the colours and I always have it on my bedside table.

I love these babies. I recently got these Karl Lagerfeld polarised sunglasses and I love them. They have that slight aviator look which is always in style. I’m still waiting for a sunny day to wear them!

Oh this lipstick. I got this from Boots and I fell in love. I have worn it every day since I bought it. Its a beautiful light dusky pink shade that seriously goes with everything. Its by Loreal Paris, I think it was £6.99 and is called Juliannes Nude.

Ps Who likes my nails? I spent ages with sellotape making it perfect.

Ofcourse Lush. I saw these on display and had to snap a picture. I thought the colours were incredible. If pictures could smell… the scent was heavenly.

I had these beautiful two toned roses from my boyfriend. There were 20 roses and I thought they matched my nails perfectly! My polish is by Kiko Milano!

I went on a windy and rainy walk with my dog. I love wearing wellies so I was splashing in puddles and having a great time. I had to wrap up warm though because it was freezing! Walking is one of my most favourite things to do, I could seriously walk for hours.

Instagram Catch Up

It’s about time for a catch up I think..

I have been super duper busy lately creating videos and blog posts and pictures for you guys, it’s nice just to sit down and just write.

I’ve had a lovely day off work today so it’s been really nice to gather my thoughts, have a relax and get some cleaning done!

I cannot wait for Spring Colours. I recently went shopping and stumbled upon a new makeup brand called Kiko Milano. Oh my goodness it is amazing. The quality of their products is beautiful and it is so affordable! I chose these pretty pink shades that I think will gorgeous for Spring 2016!

We went to our local coffee house called The Ocho Lounge where they do the best hot chocolates by candlelight.

I always eat all the marshmallows off the top first.

I love reading by fairylights. It is so soothing and relaxing, especially when Im really involved in the stories. Im currently reading Without a Trace by Lesley Pearce.

I highly recommend it. I got it for christmas off my sister and I cannot put it down.

My, my, my can you believe that it’s almost August already?

Crazy right?!

Well today I will be showing you guys my Instagram diary for the past few weeks!

Can we just appreciate this glorious picture.
So for breakfast I decided to have these incredible Belgian waffles with whipped cream.

They are so incredibly delicious and super super easy to make for brekkie!

So you guys have probably seen this on a previous post, but this is the OOTD I wore for my sisters graduation.

I am absolutely in love with this red dress and the best thing about it is that it was only £5 from Primark!

I am obsessed with planners/diaries!

I have really been inspired by beauty guru Elle Fowler (check her out on YouTube) and her DIY planner videos!

So this is how I have decorated my planner for last week, with a lovely gold and pink theme.

How stunning was this day!

The weather was so beautiful and we had a garden party with my family.

This bunting is so cute and really gave our party a vintage theme!

Bottoms up!

I’m a sucker for a mason jar! I just think that drinks look so much nicer in them!

This day was all about relaxing in the sun with an ice cold glass of raspberry fizz and reading a good book!

Perfect.

Bargain alert!

I must say, charity shops are fantastic.

Not only do they support local charities but the products you can find are at such great prices!

This stunning ring was £3 and has a lovely vintage feel to it. I think the colours are so pretty and look amazing as a pretty statement piece of jewellery.

For anyone that knows me, I’m baking mad.

I love a good afternoon in the kitchen cooking up delicious cakes and bakes!

So here I made a lovely lemon drizzle cake and I decided to decorate it with some lovely lavender from my garden.

It tasted beautiful!
