Well hello my gorgeous beauties!

This is a bit of a different post today…

 I wanted to share one of my other great passions with you… Baking.

Ive always loved cooking, ever since I was a little girl. I used to bake cakes and biscuits with my mum in the summer and apple crumbles and pies in the winter – heaven.

If you lovelies don’t know, I’ve been with my boyfriend for seven years now and each year I have made him a birthday cake – with this year being no exception!

I decided to do something a bit different and try making a gravity cake!

To make this sweet treat, I started off by making a simple chocolate cake, smothered it in chocolate fudge frosting then carried on with the decoration!

Firstly, I layered chocolate fingers around half of the cake, then added two thick straws to the centre of the cake.

I then added maltesers and m&m’s to the top of the cake and continued to add layers to the straws using the frosting as a glue.

I applied the rest of the chocolate to the sides of the cake and let them flow down as if they were cascading.

   
I then balanced two of the chocolate wrappers on top to act as though they were pouring on top of the cake! 

I’m so happy with how it turned out! And so was my gorgeous guy Jamie!
